What is an Integral Blind?
Integral blinds are a neat and stylish alternative to curtains and external blinds. Situated inside of the panes of glass, they won’t get damaged and will never need cleaning, making them maintenance free. With energy efficiency built in, they can help control the temperature in the room and reduce the generation of humidity on the glass perimeter.
Easy to install, they fit perfectly in any window or door and in any frame, including uPVC, timber and aluminium. They can even be retrofitted into existing glazed units, meaning that you don’t have to get new ones installed during the process.
01
Regulates Energy
Installing integral blinds can give you better control of the temperature in your home. They can give your home ultimate protection against the sun, helping you remain cooler during the summer months and warmer during the winter.
02
Child Friendly
Unlike traditional exterior blinds where children can easily yank at the cords and get their fingers stuck, an integral blind is positioned inside of the glazing unit, ensuring that they can’t access this or injure themselves.
03
Maintenance Free
As integral blinds are sealed between the panes of glass, they’re not going to be exposed to external elements, dirty fingers or dust. This means that they will never need cleaning and are basically maintenance free.

Are integral blinds hygienic?
Certainly, integral blinds are highly hygienic. As the blinds are sealed inside of the glazing, they’ll remain dirt free and dust free, making them more hygienic than traditional blinds and curtains that will require constant cleaning and maintenance.
Due to how hygienic they are, they’re often used in hospitals and schools because they don’t require constant cleaning.
How long will my integral blind last?
When the appropriate maintenance is applied, an integral blind can usually last between 10-12 years.
Can integral blinds be fitted to sliding doors?
Of course, integral blinds are a practical solution for sliding patio doors and even French doors. They’re made to measure and ultimately can be fitted to work within any door or window with at least 20mm cavity between the double glazing unit to allow for installation. They’re also a popular option for bi fold doors too due to their sleek and stylish nature.
Can they be retrofitted to any existing window?
As long as the window allows for at least 25-28mm between the sealed glass to allow for the installation, these blinds can easily be retrofitted to any existing window within the home.
Are they easy to install?
Yes. Our integral blinds are very easy to install to the home. They’re suitable for all types of frames, (uPVC, timber and aluminium) and are fitted in the same way as any other window or door. So enjoy a smooth and problem free installation.
